The Bahrain Grand Prix is a Formula One Championship Grand Prix: its first race took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on April 4, 2004.
The Bahrain Grand Prix is sponsored by Gulf Air and is the first Formula One Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East. There was fierce competition for the prestige of hosting a Formula One Grand Prix from Egypt, Lebanon and UAE.
The inaugural race was given the award for the 'Best Organised Grand Prix' by the FIA.

The first race which was held at this track in 2004 was won by the German driver Michael Schumacher and Ferrari.
Although this Grand Prix is only in its third season, crowd gather from both the Gulf and from all over the world, to view this new track as well as witness the competition fought between all the best drivers from all over the world.

This year, the Bahrian Grand Prix 2007 winner was Felipe Massa, a Ferrari driver who completed 57 laps in 1:33:27:515.
