The Wales National Rugby Union Team, governed by the Welsh Rugby Union, represents Wales in international competitions.

They annually compete in the Six Nations Championship and in the World Cup every four years.

The team played their first match in 1881 against England and have won the Six Nations Championship 23 times, the last time being in 2005.  They ranked third in the 1987 World Cup and hosted the 1999 edition.  They had a disappointing world cup campaign earlier in the year when they failed to get past the first group stage in France.  They will be looking to make amends in the up coming 6 Nations Competition.

Wales are nicknamed the Dragons, because of the presence of the Dragon on their national flag. They are currently coached by a New Zealander Warren Gatland and their captain is Gethin Jenkins.
Their kit is mainly red with small aspect of white details on it with white shorts and red socks.

Their second shirt id mostly white with grey markings on it and matched with grey shorts and grey socks.
Their kits include a emblem which is the Prince of Wales feathers, and their sponsor is Cardiff Brewery S A Brain.

Wales have won the 6 nations championshipcompetition 23 times with 10 ties.
