Scottish Rugby has a long and proud history founded in 1873, those famous dark blue shirts have seen some sights!  Like when they recorded their biggest ever win against Japan in 2004 or like in 1991 when they came within a whisker of making the Rugby World cup final, when England beat them 6-9.

The shirt of the team is internationally instantly recognisable.  With the heritage involved, the jersey takes on a greater meaning of importance than just another shirt.

• The jersey is made from 60% cotton and 40% cotton and (obviously!) has the Scottish emblem of the thistle embroidored on, aswell as the current sponser: 'the famous grouse' - the scottish whiskey.

• A little known fact about Scotland is that they originally played their home games at Inverleith from 1899 to 1925 - when their current home was opened – Murrayfield.  They also claim to be the founding nation of the sport, whether this is historically true or just some Scottish one-upman-ship we're not sure.  It probably depends upon who you ask!
