PSV is the initials for Philip Sport Vereniging but is widely abbreviated to PSV.

The team originates in the Netherlands and are hugely successful!  They have had some world renown players play for them in the past like; Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo (Older Brazilian one).

The club was founded in August 1913 and they play all their home matches at Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, which has a capacity of 35,000. The current manager is Ronals Kowman.

The team kit for their home matches is a white shirt with red strips matched with black shorts and white socks, while their away kit is a blue jersey with white shorts and socks.

They have won the UEFA champions league only once before in 1987-'88 and the UEFA Cup once also, in 1977 -78. 

This season they have a tough task to get enough points in the remaining two games to overhall Fenerbache and Internazionale!
