In last years event there were 156 golfers, and they are a mix of both professional and armature players. Around two thirds of the players are professional, these golfers are given an exemption and do not have to qualify to enter the competition. The rest of the competitors are made up of successful golfers who have won local qualifying heats, or international heats.
