Born in Oxford in 1974, Tim Henman has long been the British hope in tennis, and was the first player since Roger Taylor to make it as far as the semi finals at Wimbledon.
Despite being diagnosed with a form of bone disease, Henman proved to be hugely talented from a very young age. In 2001, hopes were high for Tim when he beat Pete Sampras and Roger Federer in the Wimbledon quarter-finals, but fell at the last hurdle allowing Goran Ivanisevic to take away the title.
