The France National Rugby Union Team represent France in international competitions and are governed by the Fédération Française de Rugby, founded in 1919.
France annually participate in the Six Nations Championship.

The team have won the competition fifteen times, shared eight wins and achieved eight Grand Slams, with their most recent success last time around, where they won the 6 Nations Championship by beating Scotland on 17th of March, 2007.

France has also competed in every of the World Cup and were finalists in 1987 and 1999. They made it to the semifinals to then lose out to England.

The current coach is Benard Laporte and the captain is Fabien Pelous.
Their team colours are Blue and white with red socks, although they have a second kit which is largely white with blue strips and white socks.
The emblem had been used previous to the first game they every won, when they beat Scotland in 1911.  France's captain Marcel Communeau asked that the team use the coq (rooster) on its badge.  Before that the France national football team wore the emblem.
