Formula one series has roots dating back as far as the 1920 and 1930, however it was not until 1946 with the introduction of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile when we can start to track a full history, and standardised rules were introduced.
Records are constantly been contested within this very popular sport, and in the first few years following 2000 many records have been broken by many drivers, but mostly Michael Schumacher, to his name he has, 7 drivers championships, more than any other driver, he broke the record for most points scored in one season, he also holds the record for most grand Prix ever won.
