Ferrari is one of the biggest names in Formula one racing, with high named drivers and have a very successful past with a number of world breaking titles to its name. Ferrari's first F1 race was in 1948, which makes the team the oldest and most successful in the championship. The team's logo is the "cavallino rampante", a black horse in yellow field as a symbol of strength and vitality. When Jose Froilan Gonzalez join Ferrari in the 1950's this was when the team began to dominate the sport, with Gonzalez winning the team their first win at the British Grand Prix. Alberto Ascari gave Ferrari their first drivers championship win in 1951.

With drivers such as Nigel Mansell, Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher it i no surprise Ferrari are the most successful team within the world of Formula one, with 179 Grand Prix victories, 544 podium finished, 14 world constructors championship titles, 14 World Drivers Championships, and have competed in over 1622 races. So far two Ferrari drivers (Massa and Raeikoenen) have won 5 races at this year's Grand Prix, and with 7 races yet to go, this number is by no means fixed.
