The English Cricket team has been in existence since 1877 and over the years they have achieved in a number of great results in both test matches and series matches.

• A total of 97 wins over Australia
• They have never lost to Bangladesh 
• 41 wins over New Zealand, 
• 8 Wins over Sri Lanka, 
• 13 Wins over West Indies 
• Their average per-centage of wins is 34.77%, with 36.06% of their matches resulting in draw and only 29.17% games lost! 
• Most Wickets bowled is by Sir Ian Botham, in test matches 
• Alec Steward has the record for most matches having played 133 in test matches 
• Darren Gough hold the title for most bowels in one Day internationals

The career of the English Cricket teams have been fruitful! Although they have never actually won the world cup, they have reached the final on three occasions, and have hosted the competition on four occasions, in 1975, 1979, 1983, and 1999, they are also hosting the 2019 competition.
Although the World cup series has been unlucky for the England team the Ashes has been more favourable!

The 2005 series will remain as one of the most memorable with the fantastic win over Australia allowing the English team to take the Ashes to the UK!
England has won this competition 92 times, while Australia had the title 115 times with 86 games resulting in a draw!

It is no surprise the English Cricket team has enjoyed such huge success over the years with outstanding players such as Ian Botham and Michael Vaughan and Paul Collingwood they are bringing great life into this fantastic sport!
