The circuit itself is over 308km in distance and involves a total of 44 laps. The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, where Belgium's leg of the Grand Prix will be held later this year, was built expressly for Grand Prix motor-racing in 1921.
The current record-holder for the Belgium course is K Raikkonen, who completed the race in just 1:45:108 in 2004. Kimi has repeatedly won the Belgian Grand Prix for the past two races, both in 2005 and 2004. Schumacher also features a number of times, having won the event a total of 6 times.
